LOTD: “Anything other than yes, is no. Anything other than stay, is go. Anything less than I love you is lying.” - Friends, Lovers or Nothing / John Mayer
Now I’ve realized how Speak for Me has a great and subtle play with words here:
I’m not mad about it
But I’m not mad about it
I’m not mad about it
But I’m not that mad about it
Mad could mean angry, but also in love with it. So if we replaced each line for a different meaning of “mad”:
I’m not angry about it
But I’m not in passionate about it
I’m not passionate about it
But I’m not that angry about it
Or you could play with these different meanings between each line, and it would still make a lot of sense.
Man, this is mad, I mean, genius.

For now, a rarity: John Mayer performing A Face To Call Home, on May 16th, 2011.
Side note: this song gets even more epic being performed live.

Judge me if you must
But I have just listened to the “leak” of Born and Raised.
I’m mesmerized, it’s absolutely wonderful, I don’t even have words to describe how impressed I am by his endless criativity and genius musical skills. I am really, really proud of being his fan.
PS: go buy your copy (just like I did).

"
There’s a level of travel that you can achieve wherein you almost cease to exist as you have been known to yourself. I don’t mean it as in a feeling of meaningless, or emptiness, but a sort of new kind of existence takes place.
You become just particles in motion, closer in frequency to a ghost or something.
You might think what I’m writing is crazy, and if you do, I suggest you grab a backpack and hit the road for a while. And when your body says it’s time to go home, don’t.
Just keep going. I promise you there’s a high on the other side more memorable and beautiful than you can imagine.
